Machining
One of our greatest strengths is our in-house bespoke machine shop based in Tipton at the heart of the West Midlands. We are able to manufacture parts for all makes and sizes of mechanical and hydraulic presses and associated auxiliary equipment using a host of Lathes, Vertical and Horizontal Boring machines. Our latest investment is two CNC Bed Milling machines capable of handling individual components up to 4000kg.
This gives us the capability to produce 'one offs', as well as the facility to remanufacture existing parts from both drawings and samples.
Our machining facilities are available for sub-contract manufacturing of a single component or batch manufacturing – contact us for details.
Some recent bespoke machining projects include:
- 400 tonne press crown refurbish, including weld repairs and in-line boring
- Large hydraulic press platen re-machining
- 44" diameter ram and phosphor bronze guide bushes for a hydraulic press
- Rolling mill gear box casings
